if NOT using a shock absorber or ride control, which uses studs instead.
The 67810-36 headlight mounting bracket came out in 1946 but was retro
fitted by dealer on earlier models, because of springers having high speed
wobble problems, many bikes in the 40's & 50's were fitted with the
ride control & shocks to prevent this problem. A lot of roads were
dirt with pot holes back in the 40's and 50's. Most likely if you have a
1942-46 motorcycle and are planning on buying a ride control or shock at a
